Title 1 Reward School
Tuesday October 29th, UCPS Director of Federal Programs, Mr. Bill Cook, visited Sardis and provided the teachers with ice cream to celebrate our recognition as a Title 1 Reward School; Distinguished as a Performance School for the 2013-14 school year. Based on three years of data, Sardis student achievement and performance is in the top ten percent of all Title 1 schools in North Carolina. Given that about half the schools in North Carolina receive Title 1 funding, it is significant for Sardis to be recognized for this honor. Our teachers, teacher assistants, support staff, and administration work diligently each and every day to meet the needs of all our students, and our students work hard to learn and grow into well rounded citizens. We are very proud of this honor!Full Story
